Air filtration

Bag filters

Fine filtration in flexible pockets, for high airflow air handling units.

Flexible pockets develop a large filter area and take heavy dust loads before clogging. Pocket count, pocket length and the chosen medium set the class reached and the admissible final pressure drop.

Air path and clogging

The drawing gives the direction of flow and where retention happens. It carries no scale and no value.
  1. Dust-laden air — the air to be treated arrives upstream of the filter frame.
  2. Retention — particles settle on the upstream face of the pockets. That deposited layer is the clogging, and it is what drives the pressure drop up.
  3. Filtered air — the air leaves downstream, free of the particles held by the medium.

The two tappings shown either side of the frame give the pressure drop across the element.

Values read from the documents cited

Each value is read from the document its mark refers to. It places the family; it does not describe its full extent. Where the family has published sheets, what those sheets actually carry is stated under the value.
