Legal information
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and no tracker requiring consent. This page explains why, technology by technology — and why you will never see a banner here.
The technologies used, and why they are exempt
| Technology | What it does | Why it is exempt |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare Web Analytics — from the public go-live | Audience measurement | No cookie, no persistent identifier, no cross-site tracking. Its purpose is strictly limited to audience measurement for the sole account of the publisher, with no cross-referencing and no transfer to third parties. Until that activation happens, no measurement runs. |
| ALTCHA | Anti-spam on the contact form | Self-hosted proof-of-work: no third-party request, no cookie, no personal data. |
Self-hosted fonts (astro:fonts, local provider) |
Text rendering | Fonts are served from this domain. No request leaves for a third-party CDN. |
Nothing else runs in your browser: no advertising script, no share button, no embedded video, no third-party map.
Why there is no banner
The legal basis is article 82 of the French Data Protection Act (loi Informatique et Libertés), which transposes article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive: prior consent is required only for non-exempt trackers. This site sets none — so there is nothing to consent to.
Displaying a banner when no tracker is set would be pointless friction, and a sign of misunderstanding the very law it would claim to respect.
The rule this site sets itself
This page describes a state of affairs, and that state is a commitment. Adding an advertising analytics tool, a social network pixel, an embedded video, a third-party map or a chat widget would set trackers requiring consent: the site would fall under the banner regime, and this page would become false the same day.
Any such integration is therefore a decision, not a technical detail. It would require rewriting this page, adding a consent mechanism, and owning that change publicly.
If you notice a gap between this page and the actual behaviour of the site, report it to the address given in the legal notice: the gap is a defect, and it will be fixed.
